Bambooty Easy - Onesize

In my quest for variation in nappy design, I came across the Bambooty Easy (OneSize), which has an interesting way of adjusting the rise... We have 2 of these now, because I enjoyed using the first one. We have this flowery one and a turquoise striped option too. RRP £15.99

So, the low down. This is another birth to potty, all in one nappy. It is made of bamboo (geddit? BAMBOOty?! So punny.), but also cotton and microfibre, so it has a good absorbency - fast and large. The unique bit is the size adjustment:

Instead of having poppers down the front, which make the front of the nappy very bulky, the bambooty simply fastens further DOWN the nappy and folds over the excess. There are poppers to hold the folded bit down.

I think this is genius, but to be completely honest I found it very fiddly on my extremely wriggly little Flower. She is both skinny and wriggly, which means lots of excess fabric that needs to be managed while trying to contain her! Compounding the problem is my general dislike of poppers - we just don't really get on.

Despite that, these nappies do get used because they are quick from washing machine to shelf - no folding or faffing, they just go straight from the line!

Inside, the main absorbency is made up of 2 flaps which overlap each other.

There is also a snap in booster (shown on the left of the above picture). You can also clearly see the gusseting which really helps to keep the flaps in place and reduce leaks.
Here you can see the poppered booster removed.

Check out those brilliant gussetty things. Bambooty calls them 'wriggle guards' and I see why!
Issues:
With my little wriggler, it is tricky to get all the fastenings down up without a meltdown (me or her), but I know that most babies aren't as wriggly as her - trust me when I say that your baby isn't likely to be as wriggly as Flower! (I often put nappies on her as she crawls away from me...) It is worth saying that once on, these are EXTREMELY wriggle proof. I've never had a leak and Flower has seriously put it to the test in the last few weeks as she's got moving!

Overall
Pros:
Average to fast drying time - those flaps really make a difference!
No stuffing
'wriggle guards' seriously work!
Less bulky front thanks to fold over sizing system
Fit my slim baby nicely and aren't super bulky
Cons:
Doing the sizing poppers each time means an extra stage during changing, but I suspect this wouldn't be a big deal if you weren't a popper hater like me!

There is a sized version of this nappy available - the easy dry. I'd be interested in trying this as it would solve the fiddly sizing. At 7kg, Flower would be nicely in the medium size, so I imagine the fit would be excellent!

So, I bought a second one after using the first for a couple of weeks, so I do like this. It isn't my favourite, but it is mainly the poppers that stop me loving this nappy - I'm just not keen on them! At £15.99, it isn't the cheapest nappy on the market (nor is it the most expensive!), but I do think that you get value for money - it is good quality, time saving and easy!
