Daisy Birds DBK All In One
In my hunt for different all in one nappies, I came across the DaisyBirds DBK. RRP: £9.99 I bought 2 - one in pink and one in blue.
So this is a birth to potty all in one. It has 3 rows of poppers down the front giving 3 different size settings. Popper fastenings, but just 1 row, which gives a bit less manoeuvrability. Made of bamboo, it is pretty absorbent but a bit slow at drying. I panicked when it first arrived as the outside is gorgeous and soft, so I thought it might not be waterproof. But it DEFINITELY is.
The single row of poppers helps to keep things simple, but I really struggle to get a good fit with poppers in general. We've also struggled a bit with the spacing of these; Flower is a skinny baby and needs us to overlap, but the overlap poppers aren't spaced correctly for us to do that. I don't understand why is doesn't work for us, but I'm sure it's just her specific size setting and it'll be fine for bigger babies.
Issues:
I really don't get on with popper fastenings, but that is just personal preference. I find it difficult to get a good fit with my wriggly bubba!
The elastics are quite stiff. I haven't noticed any obvious red marks, but with a fatter baby that might be a problem?
Overall
Pros:
No stuffing!
Good absorbency
Good fit on my skinny babe.
Removable booster and flap = faster drying
Pretty rainbow serging.
1 row of poppers means less bunching around the fastening - smoother fit.
Cons:
Only available with popper fastening.
1 row of poppers gives less adjustability than 2 rows that I've used on others.
I've found this to be a pretty fab nappy! I've had no leaks at all, it washes well and dries soft. It does take a while to dry, but as it is bamboo, that's just a payoff for good absorbency. And I've found it much quicker drying than the Totsbots easyfit. For less than a tenner? No brainer!
Don't you just love the rainbow overlocking?! |

Here you can see the 3x3 size adjuster poppers and the single row of poppers along the top for fastening. |
There's one absorbent flap that is permanently attached... |
...and one absorbent poppered booster too. Which can be removed for faster drying or to reduce bulk. |
